This past week my "little" sister Alyssa turned 16. For her birthday celebration we all meet at Outback for dinner.

NOT ME MONDAY!

Ok well I have never done a not me monday so I thought I would give it a try.

Well I certainly do not have all my laundry caught up nope not me (Marshan this is especially for you). I most certainly did not spend all my saturday cleaning my house nope not me. I most certainly did not feed my children Mcdonalds breakfast because I was to lazy to fix their breakfast NOPE NOT ME!

I most certainly did not go on "strike" yesterday and not cook dinner and watch christmas movies all day (after church) nope not me.

I most certainly did not type this while my husband got the girls ready for bed nope not me.

So a couples weeks ago my neighbor called me to see if we wanted to include the girls in a visit from Santa. The cost of the Santa to come I think was $75.00 and we divided by the number of kids so I think it was $15.00 for a present from Santa, pictures with Santa and Santa read the kids a story, they even got to eat cookies with Santa. It was a really nice time. And santa did a good job with all the kids. The girls were so excited. Makenzie told her daddy she meet the "real" santa.

My grandmother had these hats for the girls that someone gave her. Abby loves the one with winnie the pooh and Makenzie love the fuzzy one. So enjoy the pictures of my girls being silly.

Thanksgiving 2008

WEll Thanksgiving is always a busy time for our family. On Thursday we usually go to my Grandma Henry's around 12 then we go to Dan's family around 6. Not this year it was so nice we went to my Grandma Henry's and stayed and visited Family and played Marbels. Well I didn't get my camera out I know bad Mindy. Friday I got up early and went shopping with my cousin wife Lori and we went over to Fields Ertel and man was it crazy! I got a few deals but I just wasn't in a shopping mood. We spent the day again at Grandma's house playing games and eating Penn Station for dinner. Then Saturday was Dan's Thanksgving at his mom and Dads. This year we had extended family in as well.

Yesterday we decided to take the girls out to lunch and to the movies. Makenzie decided she needed to get all dressed up. She cracks me up. She had her purse all her jewelry and even her lipstick. Oh and we can't forget her hat. She is so funny. Abby of course just had to join in.

FIRST VISIT FROM THE TOOTH FAIRY!

I was at work last week and I get a phone call at lunch from my mother in law. "Your Daughter has something to tell you" so Makenzie gets on the phone to tell me she had lost her first tooth. She was so excited. So we put her tooth under the pillow for the tooth fairy to come and leave her a present. She was so excited the tooth fairy left her two quarters. One for her and one for her sister Abby. I hope Makenzie is always so willing to share.

I don't know why but I had this great idea to put Abby in the sink tonight to give her a bath. (probably because I just wanted to get her in and out). At first Abby was not happy with the idea but she quickly loved it. You can see how long she is because she was crammed into the sink. She wanted to stay in and play longer.

A couple weeks ago I took Makenzie shopping for some dresses and well she is starting to have her on opinion. Well here are some pictures of her posing for me..... I tell you she is one character. I look at these pictures and go man what am I in for when she is a teenager. By the way Daddy did her hair this day..... on Monday's he gets her ready for school and she gets a shower washes her hair and he puts mouse in it and she is set to go.

first school conference!

OK for those of you who do not know Makenzie is in Kindergarten this year.

Well tonight was her first school conference. Now I work on Mondays and so does Dan and Abby is at my grandma's and Makenzie is at her Nana's. So Monday evenings are very crazy in our house. Then you through in trying to get from Norwood to Monroe by 6:15 at rush hour and then you through in an accident at Paddock and then you get one STRESSED OUT MOMMY! By the time I got to her conference I was STRESSED!

Makenzie is doing great. Better than her mommy thought she was doing. Not that I thought she was doing bad (I just thought she was having a tought time)The teacher had no concerns. Her penmanship has improved tremendously since the start of the year. She is counting ahead of where they are and she is just doing well. So we will keep plugging away at numbers and her sight words.

I was very proud of her.
