Fall Festival

Friday night the girls school had their first Fall Festival. Two weeks ago I was asked to decorate the "kissing booth".

 The Front view
The Side view. I thought it turned out pretty well.

Makenzie doing the horse race (Abby didn't want to participate)

Makenzie doing the ring toss (Makenzie was having a blast)
 Makenzie doing corn hole
 Makenzie getting her face painted
 Abby getting her face painted
The Media Center teacher was the volunteer for the kissing booth (She stamped the kids with a kiss and they received a hershey kiss it was really cute)
After the crowd was so much we headed to the playground for a bit so I was finally able to get Abby to take a picture.

Makenzie finally can do the monkey bars she was so pround to show us.
Makenzie doing the obstacle course.
There was such a good turn out at the Fall Festival. The girls both had a fun night. Was a great family night. After all the fun at the school we headed to Frischs for a late dinner.

Sillyband Crazy!

Makenzie is into the silly band craze! We have used silly bands for math homework, rewards. She loves to sit and count and play with her silly bands it cracks me up. She even now has silly rings and silly necklace as you can see in the above picture. Remember I said we took the girls to target Makenzie got a barbie fashion toy (animals of course) and she had a little more money to spend so I found silly bands in the $1.00 spot so we headed there she spent the last of her money and got 3 packs of silly bands. She was so excited to get home and put all her silly bands on. I won't let Makenzie wear more than 2 silly bands to school and they are only allowed to take them off at recess.

Cowboy Boots/T-ball playing girl!

Today we took the girls to target to spend their money that has been burning a hole in Makenzie's pocket since her birthday (which was in May). Abby has had money as well but when Abby realized I wasn't buying it for her she decided she was only going to buy three packs of silly bands from the $1.00 spot. While we were there we went to the shoe isle the girls needed some boots for the cold weather ahead (it was only 80+ degrees here today). So Abby wanted cowboy looking boots as you can see in the pictures below. She had to put them on as soon as she got home.

Abby wanted to play with her new t-ball bat that we got for $2.48 on clearance at target (got to love target).
She is ready but swing and miss!
She decided she was going to pitch to daddy!
Ok now she is all done pitching heading to get the soccer ball.
 This is just so Abby!
Remember I said she was going to get the soccer ball well she also got her chair sat down and kicked the ball then told Daddy to go get it. So here she is waiting as daddy fishes the ball out of the street. Soccer didn't last either. But it was a fun afternoon. Makenzie was inside it was to HOT for her today outside.

Pumpkin farm with Cousin Payton!

So my sister Pam and I took the girls on a girls day to the pumpkin farm. We had lunch at steak and shake then headed over to the farm. Here you see the girls in the PUMPKIN.(trying to get all three to look at the camera at the same time could be a challenge)

Here they are again on the PUMPKINS!
The alligator is eating the girls!
Now Makenzie has become the quit the ham with the camera!
Here the girls are again in the pumpkins and Makenzie was smiling "Big" for me. Payton I think was done with the pictures already!
I love the next two pictures of Makenzie

Abby's picture of course she isn't looking at the camera.
They had animals for the kids to see Payton wanted to see the chickens (and you can see I even got baby Cole  in this picture he should be here tuesday)
After the pumpkin farm we took the girls back to steak n shake for a milkshake then headed back and the girls played till I told them it was time to head home. Payton loves her kenzie and Abby and they love playing with her as well.

ABBY WANTS TO READ!

The other day I was working on homework with Makenzie and looked over at Abby and this is what I see. Abby trying to read (of course this is a posed picture for this post). Abby started school this year and has just taken off. She is trying so hard to write words and read. She was going through the book and finding words she knows.  YES is a sight word they have been working on at school. (sight words are not my favorite at all. I actually do not like this way of teaching at all but that is for another day.) So Abby came running over Mom look this is the word Yes she was so proud of herself and so was her mommy and daddy.

This is the book Abby purchased at the bookfair. She enjoyed mommy reading it to her.

This here is Makenzie "reading" the Walgreens ad. Uncle Mike would be so proud of her....
