Ok well I posted earlier that Abby has been sick with a fever. Well yesterday was day 5 of fever so I called the doctor he wanted to see her first thing this morning so we were at the doctors office at 9:00 am. Well that is just the start of a very eventful day. As we are waiting for the doctor the girls were playing on a stool that rolls as I told them not to because one would get hurt well Abby fell ok no big deal. The doctor comes in and exams and wants to get a urine sample and run some more test (blood work) well Abby is still wearing diapers so this entails a cath. So he writes out an order. Well I get ready to put her sweater on and she screams and I mean screams so the doctor comes in and exams her again he says I think she broke her clavicle.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clavicle just in case you don't know what this is. Well so we go and drop Makenzie off at her Nanas then off we go. Well we get the xray which was fun with a screaming child. Then we go and they are going to do the Cath and inform me they can't (ok why?) well she has Labial adhesions (not really sure yet what they are) http://www.femininehygiene.com/labial_adhesions.htm
so they call the doctors office and we have to go back. Well they then draw the blood and off we go back to the doctors office. Oh forgot they have a bag on her to catch her urine. Well we are still waiting on that. So we go back to find out yes she broke her Clavicle. And the blood work shows that most likely she has mono. And he can't check the lesions until after she goes to the bathroom well this could be April before he exams that guess it is common in young girls. Well now we have to wait for the urine sample and then we will know for sure if it is Mono (virus) or a UTI. I am exhausted.
poor thing, so now what do they do about her clavicle?
ReplyDeleteNOTHING IT TAKES 3 WEEKS TO HEAL AND WE JUST HAVE TO BE CAREFUL WITH IT. AND I ONLY HAVE 2 KIDS.
